International Home Décor & Design 2010 Combines with Leading Global Brands to Present:The Art of Lavish Living

20/08/2010

Exuding luxuriant elegance and style, International Home Décor & Design (IHDD) 2010 will be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from November 4 - 6. Reed Exhibitions, one of the world’s leading event organizers, will debut The Art of Lavish Living at this exhibition to showcase classic interior home decoration in Mainland China for the very first time.

With the rapid development of China’s property industry and the continuing construction of high-end buildings, consumers have shifted their requirements from location, environment, facilities and property management to individual design, integrated planning of home decoration products, custom made functions and soft décor design. In light of this, to meet the home decoration demands of high-end customers, IHDD will produce a themed showcase - The Art of Lavish Living - and invite high profile designers to create home decorations.  The aim will be to foster opportunities for visitors - interior designers, real estate developers, and high-end consumers in particular.  The objective will be for the visitors to experience the design characteristics and concepts of top international brands by viewing their latest applications in home decoration.  All of this will serve to maximize the exhibition effect and profile enhancement value of the exhibits on-site.

The Art of Lavish Living has attracted first tier international brands which have never before exhibited in Mainland China. Among home furniture brands, Fendi and Versace are among the highest profile first-time exhibitors at a Mainland Chinese interior design exhibition. Moreover, Wedgwood porcelain, a favorite of the British Royal Family, and Lalique, a brand of French crystal that blends the best aspects of top international art, will display their most classic designs. As well as this, La Cantoche will showcase its most famous floor/wall covering brands.  Dasso Bamboo Floors will also be there.

The Art of Lavish Living will be designed by Kokaistudios, the noted Italian team behind the design of the elegant Bund 18 project. Kokaistudios stated, “We are very honored to take on the design of this space. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Because of the limited editions of famous brands, and masterpieces of classic art, we plan to unveil a mysterious luxury room and display the unique esthetics of international home decoration and space there.”

International Home Décor & Design 2010 will run at the Shanghai Exhibition Center  from November 4 to November 6.  It will take place alongside 100% Design Shanghai 2010, a show which has its origins in London.  100% Design Shanghai has now become the best contemporary platform for purchasing interior design items, resource collection and information exchange in China.
